Ingredients

  • Pretzel mini twists
  • Milk chocolate chips – or sub for dark chocolate
  • Candy melts in at least 2 different reds, pinks or purples
  • Vanilla almond bark – or go nut-free and sub for white chocolate
  • Red/pink/white sprinkles

Variations

There’s plenty of opportunity to get creative with different colored candy melts and a whole host of other sprinkles. Why not try topping with:

  • Edible glitter
  • Desiccated coconut
  • Chopped nuts
  • Crushed Oreos
  • Sea salt
  • A drizzle of chocolate in a contrasting color
  • Heart-shaped sprinkles
  • Silver and gold sprinkles
  • A multitude of other sprinkles…

Instructions

  1. Melt

Place the chocolate, almond bark and different colored candy melts into microwave-safe bowls.

Melt by microwaving each one for 20-second increments, stirring very well in between, until just melted.

2. Dip

Dip a pretzel 2/3 of the way into the melted candy, chocolate or bark, let the excess drip off, then lay on a baking tray lined with baking parchment.

Repeat with the other pretzels.

3. Sprinkle

Sprinkle with your toppings of choice before the candy/chocolate/bark hardens.

4. Allow to cool and set

Allow to cool and set. To go properly hard this will take about an hour but the process can be speeded up by placing in the fridge.

(Of course, they’ll be perfectly edible long before then!)

And enjoy!

Tips To Making Dipped Pretzels

  • Be careful not to overcook the candy melts. As soon as they start to melt, stop and stir. After a good stir they should be fully melted.
  • Make sure you start sprinkling after 5 minutes of dipping in the candy/chocolate/bark to ensure they stick well
