How To Make Christmas Themed Brownies

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

In a bowl, combine ½ cup browned unsalted butter and 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips, stirring until melted and smooth.

Mix in 1 cup of white granulated sugar, ½ cup brown sugar, and ½ teaspoon salt.

Add 3 eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Sift in ½ cup cocoa powder and ½ cup all-purpose flour.

Fold until just combined, being careful not to overmix the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.

Let the brownies cool completely before removing from the pan.

Cut the 8×8 cooled brownie slab in half horizontally.

Cut each half into triangles to create the shape of brownie Santa hats.

In a bowl, beat ¾ cup softened unsalted butter and 8 ounces softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.

Gradually add 5 cups of powdered sugar.

Beat until fully incorporated.

Separate some of the white frosting and then take the rest and mix in pink food dye until the desired color is reached.

Transfer the frosting into 2 piping bags, snipping a hole in the end of both, making the pink bag’s hole slightly larger than the white frosting bag.

Pipe white frosting along the base of each brownie triangle and a small dollop at the top to resemble Santa hat trim and pom-pom.

Next, fill the middle with the pink frosting.

Top with holiday sprinkles and serve the frosted Santa hat brownies. Enjoy!
