WATERMELON SLUSHY BOWLS

Ingredients

  • 2 small watermelons mini or personal
  • 1/2 cup non-frozen watermelon scooped into small chunks
  • 5 cup frozen watermelon scooped into small chunks
  • 1/4 cup cocnut water
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice 1-2 whole limes juiced
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 thin slices limes this is for the top garnish

Instructions

  • Cut the mini watermelons in half.
  • If you have the twist in knobs for the stand, screw those in. If not, using a knife slice a small piece off the bottom so it will sit flat.
  • Scoop watermelon into small pieces. Add one cup to a container or bag, and put in refrigerator, not to be frozen. Add the rest to a freezer bag, and lay flat into the freezer for at least 4 hours until frozen.
  • While the watermelon is freezing, dry the bowls, start decorating, or wait a bit. You'll have 4 hours.
  • Meanwhile, make your fresh lime juice. 1-2 limes juiced. Add the honey to the lime juice, and mix. (This way not too sticky to pour into blender.)
  • Time to blend. Add the non-frozen watermelon first to the blender. (This makes it easier to blend, and not so hard on your blender.) Then add the frozen watermelon to the blender. (The smaller the pieces the easier to blend.)
  • Next, add the coconut water, lime honey mixture right into the mixer, and start to blend.
  • This will take a few minutes depending on your blender. When you see it's well blended, and looks slushy. Pour directly into the watermelon bowl, and garnish with a lime slice. Use a spoon, or straw, and enjoy!!
