Equipment

  • Measuring cup
  • small saucepan
  • spoon
  • bowl
  • 4 clear plastic cups

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water divided
  • 3 oz package strawberry Jello
  • 12 Lychee
  • 12 green grapes
  • 12 black or brown Jelly Belly Jelly Beans

Instructions

  • Boil 1 cup of water in a small saucepan, then stir in the gelatin for a few minutes until fully dissolved.
  • Stir in 1 cup of cold water. Pour the mixture into a bowl and refrigerate it for 1 ½ hours to firm only slightly.
  • Insert a jelly bean into a grape where it came off the vine.
  • Insert the grape into the lychee to form the “eyeballs”.
  • Add a little gelatin mixture to the bottom of the cup, then add an eyeball.
  • Repeat this with 2 more eyeballs and gelatin. The total eyeballs and gelatin should be divided between 4 Halloween Jello cups.
  • Refrigerate the assembled eyeball Jello cups for 2 ½ – 3 hours to allow the gelatin to set fully.

Notes

  • Room Temperature: Don’t leave out for more than 2 hours—heat and humidity can cause spoilage.
  • Refrigerator: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 3–5 days. Serve chilled.
  • Freezing: Not recommended—freezing ruins the Jello’s texture.
