How To Make Halloween Jello Cups

Boil 1 cup of water in a small saucepan, then stir in the gelatin for a few minutes until fully dissolved.

Stir in 1 cup of cold water. Pour the mixture into a bowl and refrigerate it for 1 ½ hours to firm only slightly.

Insert a jelly bean into a grape where it came off the vine.

Insert the grape into the lychee to form the “eyeballs”.

Add a little gelatin mixture to the bottom of the cup, then add an eyeball.

Repeat this with 2 more eyeballs and gelatin. The total eyeballs and gelatin should be divided between 4 Halloween Jello cups.

Refrigerate the assembled eyeball Jello cups for 2 ½ – 3 hours to allow the gelatin to set fully.

Storage Instructions for Halloween Jello Cups

To keep your eyeball Jello wobbly and fresh in preparation for your parties, follow these simple storage tips:

Room Temperature

Don’t leave these eyeball Jello cups at room temperature for longer than 2 hours. After that, bacteria can start to grow, especially if exposed to heat or humidity.

In The Fridge

Cover your assembled Halloween Jello cups with plastic wrap and store them in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days. Serve them chilled straight from the fridge as spooky treats.

Freezing

I don’t recommend freezing these homemade Jello cups for kids, as the freezing and thawing process will significantly alter the texture of this Halloween dessert.
