How To Make Cream Cheese Heart Puff Pastries
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a 9×13-inch baking sheet with parchment paper.

Make the cream cheese filling: beat the cream cheese, granulated sugar and egg together until smooth.

Next, prepare the puff pastry: unroll the dough and cut out heart shapes using a large heart-shaped cookie cutter.

Place the whole heart cutouts onto a baking sheet lined with baking parchment. Spoon or pipe the cheesecake filling into the center of each pastry.

Bake the puff pastry hearts for 18-20 minutes or until puffed up and golden brown. Remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.

While the puff pastries cool, slice each strawberry in half and then use a smaller heart-shaped cutter to create heart-shaped strawberries. Make as many heart-shaped strawberries as you have puff pastries.

Once the pastries have cooled slightly, place a heart strawberry in the center of each pastry.

Dust the pastries with powdered sugar before serving.

Serve your cream cheese heart puff pastries warm or at room temperature.

Storage Instructions For Strawberry Heart Puff Pastries
To keep these strawberry heart puff pastries at their best texture and flavor, follow these simple storage tips:
In The Fridge
These strawberry heart puff pastries are best enjoyed immediately, but you can also store them in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-5 days. Keep in mind that the crispy puff pastry will start to soften in the fridge.
Freezing
While these strawberry heart puff pastries could be stored in the freezer for 1-2 months, I don’t recommend it as the texture of the pastry, cream cheese, and fresh strawberries will be changed as a result of the freezing and thawing process.
