I love making this for the kids in the morning because it’s so easy, and doesn’t take a lot of time. Just prep the ingredients the night before you make it. Usually, I freeze the bananas, and blueberries so it’s thick and cold when blending. In the morning I throw it right into the blender. Breakfast is ready, and kids are happy. Add the toppings, and the Blueberry Cashew Breakfast Bowl is ready to eat. Now that’s a great way to start the day!
Smoothie bowls are the trend in healthy eating. There’s endless flavors, and healthy ingredient combinations that can be added to these breakfast bowls.
When filming this video, I noticed Brody was a bit off. I realized that the practice for the videos are crucial. Although Brody learns quickly and is comfortable doing the videos, it’s hard for him to remember new ingredients without the practice. Like wheat germ, and the cashew butter which we haven’t worked with before. This is still a learning experience for me when working with the kids. 2 practices close together seems to be the magic number, then shoot the video.

This bowl is one of my all time favorites, because of the natural sweetness. It won’t need any additional sweeteners added, because the bananas, dates and blueberries do the trick.
